OPW COVID-19 Induction

The OPW COVID-19 induction programme is designed to protect you, your family and your community whilst allowing you to work safely.

Its purpose is to ensure that you understand how to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the workplace.

When you complete the induction, your certificate will be emailed to the relevant Health & Safety person in your Division.

Course Registration

To access the course it is necessary to register using the registration form. Please read the notes below to ensure you experience no difficulties registering.

Email Address

For Email Address, you have two choices.

1. Use your OPW Number followed by @opw.ie
For Example 123456@opw.ie

2. Use your regular email address.

If you use your regular email address a copy of the certificate will also be emailed to that address.

Course Codes

Using a course code in the registration page will ensure that your certificate goes to the correct division in OPW.

Chose the appropriate code for your division, you will require it to register.

OPW Building Maintenance Services course code: BMSZ

OPW National Monuments course code: NMP

OPW National Historic Properties course code: NHPD

Other: OPWYX

Use this course code if the divisions above don’t apply.

When using the code for “Other” see note below.

Using “Other” Course Code OPWYX to Register.

Please note, when using this course code, it is important to enter your regular email in the registration form.

When you complete the course your certificate will be emailed the email address you use on the registration form.

This course code is used if the divisions above don’t apply in your case.

Your certificate is not automatically sent to anyone in the OPW when you use this course code.

You will receive your certificate by email which you can then forward to the relevant person in OPW.

Additional Information

Log In

After registration, you will be redirected to Log In. Enter the information you used in the registration form to log in.

If you can not complete the course after you have registered you can return to it at any time by clicking here to Log In.

You can also Log In from the menu bar at the top of the sitepass.ie website.

Your Profile Page

The first page you see when you Log In is your Profile Page. Here you can see the courses you have registered for.

Simply click on the course title to begin.

The course is a 16 minute video created by OPW. After the video, there is a short multiple-choice quiz.

That’s it! Your certificate is automatically emailed to the appropriate person in your division.

Don’t Forget to Log Out

Before you go, just click on the Log Out button. You will see it on the top right-hand side of the page in the menu bar.

Stay Safe and Thank You

Just In Case!

If you have difficulty registering you may see this screen.

You have checked that you have the right course code but you get this message saying that “the code you entered is not valid.”

This issue is caused by a blank space before or after the code.

This can happen when you copy and paste the code. You may have selected a blank space with the code when you copied the code.

Just “double click” on the code to select it, then copy and paste or just type the code with no space before or after it.
